What is Spinal Flow?

Spinal Flow is a gentle hands-on technique that helps your body release stored physical, chemical and emotional stress. It uses light touch on access points along the spine — no cracking, no force.

Who Created It?

Dr Carli Axford,  a chiropractor and mind-body healing expert who created this method after her own spinal trauma and recovery journey.

Watch this short Spinal Flow session demonstration to see how your body naturally — without force — releases chemical, physical and emotional stress. Feel yourself shift into more ease and flow, your natural state.

What Happens in a Session?

Sessions last 45 or 60 minutes for one on one.

You'll lie fully clothed on a table as your practitioner works gently along specific points of the spine. Especially around your cranium and coccyx.

Many people feel waves of breath, movement or emotion as stress is released from the nervous system.

How’s It Different to Chiropractic?

Spinal Flow is non-force. We don’t adjust or crack. We use spinal gateways and the body’s own awareness to help it return to flow naturally. The goal is to reconnect disconnected parts of your body and activate healing.

Is It Safe for Everyone?

Yes — adults, children, elderly, and even during pregnancy. It’s gentle, grounding and deeply supportive.

What You May Feel During a Spinal Flow Session

Spinal Flow is gentle — but the sensations can be surprisingly powerful.

As your nervous system unwinds and energy pathways open, you may experience:

  • Warmth or expansion through the spine or sacrum

  •  Tingles, pulsing or “electric” waves as blocked areas reconnect

  •  A rise of life-force energy in the pelvis or sacral area (completely natural when the body relaxes and opens)

  •  Deep calm, softness and emotional release

  •  A sense of safety, clarity and coming back into yourself

Every body responds differently… but the common theme is the same: gentle touch, big shifts.

Spinal Flow helps your system release what it’s been holding, reset the nervous system, and reconnect you to your natural flow — effortlessly.

How Often Should I Come?

Its hard to say without looking at your spinal and feeling your individual body. From what I have witnessed, best results come with 1–3 sessions per week during your initial healing phase depending what your goals are, if you have an acute problem, and how fast you want results.

Recommendation are clearly laid out during your posture assessment during your first session. With reassessments after 12 sessions.

Then, dropping into a rhythm that works best for your lifestyle (i.e. once a week for life flow and ease maintenance).

Will I Feel Results Immediately?

Many clients feel lighter, clearer and more relaxed after just one session. Others notice gradual shifts over time — especially when coming consistently.

For some, it takes a session or two just to drop out of the busy mind and back into the body.
